Roger M. Kenny
Roger M. Kenny is the President of Boardroom Consultants and specializes in Director Recruitment, Board Assessment and Succession Planning. In 1982, Mr. Kenny co-founded Kenny & Kindler, Inc. - Boardroom Consultants' predecessor firm. In 1988, Kenny & Kindler acquired Boardroom Consultants, and Mr. Kenny served as its Managing Partner until 2007, when Boardroom Consultants was acquired by Slayton Search Partners.
Previously, he was a Senior Vice President and Partner with Spencer Stuart. He has handled a wide range of CEO and top-level general management assignments in the manufacturing, consumer goods, chemicals, food, energy, pharmaceutical and communications industries.
Before becoming a consultant, Mr. Kenny served in senior positions at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. His background is in planning, consulting and operations. A graduate of Manhattan College for his BBA and New York University Graduate School of Business for his MBA, Mr. Kenny is the recipient of the Dean Fitzgerald Award from Manhattan College.
Mr. Kenny received the Gardner W. Heidrick Award from the Association of Executive Search Consultants for his outstanding contributions to the search industry. In 2008, he was recognized by BusinessWeek magazine as one of "The 50 Most Influential Headhunters." Mr. Kenny is the co-author, with Ram Charan, of E-Board Strategies: How to Survive and Win and has been published widely in The Harvard Business Review, the California Management Review, The Business Quarterly, American Banker, The Corporate Board, Directors & Boards, Directors Monthly and the Financial Review.
Mr. Kenny is an Honorary Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association and a member of the Board of Advisors of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and a Senior Advisor at Proudfoot Consulting. |
