Peter A. Kindler
Peter A. Kindler is a Vice Chairman of Boardroom Consultants and specializes in Director Recruitment, Board Assessment and Succession Planning. In 1982, Mr. Kindler co-founded Kenny & Kindler, Inc. - Boardroom Consultants' predecessor firm. In 1988, Kenny & Kindler acquired Boardroom Consultants, and Mr. Kindler served as a Senior Partner until 2007, when Boardroom Consultants was acquired by Slayton Search Partners.
Earlier, he spent ten years as Vice President and Principal of Russell Reynolds Associates. He had previously held investment, marketing and banking positions with Clark Dodge, Manufacturers Hanover and Chemical Bank. In 2008, Peter was recognized by BusinessWeek as one of "The 50 Most Influential Headhunters."
In addition to his extensive experience in governance consulting, Mr. Kindler has conducted senior level searches in the fields of finance, communications, energy, manufacturing and real estate. He has carried out assignments in many industries in the general management, chief financial officer, human resources and corporate development categories as well as Board Director recruitment.
Mr. Kindler holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and studied at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the boards of the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital and its Foundation and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks. He has also been a Trustee of the White Plains Public Library Foundation.
